We absolutely loved our stay here! The condo was beautifully decorated and had everything we could have needed for the week. The screened in porch was by far everyone’s favorite place to hang out- especially in the mornings while sipping our coffee and watching the sunrise.

he location is perfect- within walking distance to many restaurants. Every morning we walked to the Rehoboth Boardwalk and back with our dogs.

This is a very charming cottage that has a great location! Seven of us stayed her for a girls trip in the beginning of September and we had an amazing time. The cottage was super clean and fit all seven of us comfortably. We really enjoyed the large common room as well as the back patio. The weather was beautiful and we spent a majority of the time on the back patio. We would highly recommend the Tommy Bahama Cottage!

What an amazing vacation home. Don’t let the size fool you, this Home is bigger than the pictures. Our family of 6 plus a baby fit comfortably and the addition of the outdoor shower made getting ready at night with everyone super easy!. The back deck is great—we spent most of our time out there. The house has great amenities and everything you need for the beach including chairs and boogie boards. The owners take the time to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. They are great to work with and we can’t wait to return next August!!

Perfect for a family vacation, especially with a dog

I adore quirky cottages and this property, Tommy Bahama, is one of my absolute favorites. Our family of 6 (3 adults and 3 dogs) came to Dewey Beach for the infamous Sea Witch Festival. We were tickled pink by our entire experience. First the cottage is designed for dogs. Mostly wood floors, great windows from which our furry friends can watch people passing by, an enclosed patio area, and a door off the back bedroom that opens to a fenced-in dog run. You can watch your pups outside from the comfort of your bed! A real plus at 6:00 am. The coffee shop around the corner is dog friendly (our 4 legged friends can come INSIDE) and serves gluten free options. Our crew especially loved frolicking on the dogs-welcomed beach just steps from our front yard. It is an easy walk up the coast to Rehoboth Beach. 2 whales and a pod of dolphins kept us company the whole way. The Sea Witch Festival is a blast, especially the Dog Costume Parade. Property owners Marcia and Rich kindly let us stay past the normal check out time so that we could make the most of our wonderful weekend.

This home was the perfect beach cottage for an off-season getaway. A group of friends wanted to relax for a few days and we picked a great place. The location is close to both the beach and other activities. It is clean, cute and well appointed. The owners were wonderful and made our stay so enjoyable. We hope to return.

We booked this cute cottage for a spur of the minute get away. It is Perfect. It is clean well appointred very comfortable. There is 1 and a half baths but the enclosed outside shower is huge and has great water pressure. The cute patio area is a great place to gather in the nice weather. Martia and Rich were wonderful to work with. I would definitely want to book this again.

Cute cottage with all the amenities. Spacious feel inside and private deck outside. Outdoor shower was a big hit! Back deck is great way to relax after a fun filled day at the beautiful clean beach. Would return in a heartbeat!

We loved this cottage. It was clean, cozy, and close to the beach. Even though it rained for a few days, it didn't matter. My dog, Remy, loved the dog run and the courtyard was lovely. Can't wait to get back after the season!

Just got home from our stay at this awesome cottage in dewey beach...couldn't have been more pleased!!!..this cottage is well taken care of and clean!!!..had the pleasure of meeting Marcia on the way out today !!!!...thank you for allowing us to enjoy your cottage! !!!

My husband and I brought our dog to Dewey for a long weekend stay in this cottage. We arrived to find it hadn't been cleaned, so of course, we were disappointed. BUT, I contacted Rich and Marcia immediately and literally within 1 hour they showed up to clean it themselves! There had been a mix up with the cleaning schedule but Rich and Marcia rectified the issue in no time. This is an adorable cottage, just the right size for a small family, located within walking distance of everything in Dewey and a bike ride to Rehobeth Beach/Boardwalk. It is well maintained with a great private outdoor seating/grilling area. The cottage itself is bright and cheerful, very comfortable all around. Can't wait to vacation there again for a couple weeks over the summer! Thank you again, Rich and Marcia!

It is so cute. The open kitchen/living area is perfect. The private courtyard is lovely.

You are in the heart of downtown and will hear the traffic and downtown festivities while outside on the weekend. (Sat night is the party night, after that Dewey settles in for a great family week.) And this place is so relaxed and lovely that you really won't care. It's nice to be steps from both the beach and the Jolly Trolley.

You are so close to movie night and bonfire night. Stargazing from the front chairs if you are too lazy to stroll down to the beach. A hose and outdoor shower to rid yourself of sand. And the Must Have for any beach vacation - washer and dryer.

The photos are pretty accurate. Some of the furniture has changed over time (we really liked the big comfy couch for lounging!) and the front patio has filled in as the landscaping matures - still lovely. The front awning is gone :( But I'd imagine it met a sad demise during some storm where an errant guest left it open during a storm.

You won't be disappointed. This is the 2nd Dewey property owned by Rich and Marcia that we have enjoyed. It is the quintessential beach cottage! And we WILL be back.

This was our first time to this lovely cottage and we were not disappointed. The décor is fabulous, location is great and the enclosed yard was really wonderful for our dog. We loved all the special touches in the cottage that made us feel right at home. Beds are really comfortable and Marcia and Rich were very helpful in giving us recommendations for local restaurants and other things to do. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. Loved the large private outdoor shower, used it every day! We will definitely be back again!

Stayed for 3 nights! Next time will be longer! This property is really cute! I went alone with my 2 senior dogs and we all had a great time. Great well maintained little house! The backyard is a Godsend! At first I thought I would be missing the "Ocean View" but turns out that the backyard was way more relaxing. Spent most of the days at the beach anyway so by the time I got back to the house it was nice and quiet. There are only 2 steps from the backyard to kitchen area so that made it easy for my two very tired and somewhat older dogs to get in and out. The backyard fence door is about 2 to 2.5 feet high which was nice and sufficient to keep the dogs from bouncing out (for puppy happy hour). The rest of the fence is a standard 6 footer nice and brown. Very Tommy Bahama feel. Very easy & short walk to the beach. Did not have a chance to take trolley but will consider it next time. Its a stone throw away from the Starboard Restaurant and Club so music can be a bit loud on Saturday night but it was a vacation so did not really care much about that noise. There is an outdoor shower, which I did not use but its good to know its there if need be. Loved the fact that there are 2 off street parking spots so no need to bother with a permit. The plan all along was to relax. Mission accomplished! Definitely recommend it to pet owners and anyone wanting to spend a few relaxing days at the beach in cozy and cute little house so close to everything!

We loved our stay at the Barefoot Bliss! Right on the beach with gorgeous views, the condo was very clean and comfortable. It has been updated with modern amenities, while still maintaining that beach cottage vibe. Would love to come back and enjoy during warmer weather!

This place is awesome! My hubby and I and our two dogs stayed here for five nights of bliss. This home is right on the beach, a very beautiful beach. The screened in room on the first level is perfect for relaxing in the shade. Very comfortable outdoor chaise lounge. You can hear the waves crashing at the shore. The upper deck has never ending views of the ocean. You can sit here for hours just watching the waves. We were lucky enough to see the dolphins swimming by. The house is very clean and decorated perfectly for a beach house. Master bedroom very comfortable with stunning views of the ocean. A great way to wake up in the morning. We never wanted to leave. Re-booking another trip for September. Dewey Beach is definitely one of our best discoveries. It is a great little beach town. Rehoboth boardwalk is about a mile walk on the beach and a few minutes’ drive to all the restaurants and night life. There is also plenty to walk to right in the town of Dewey which is footsteps from this house.

My husband and I, along with our 2 large dogs, enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend at this property. The home is directly ocean front; so getting to the beach cannot be any easier. The views are just beautiful from all areas of the home, especially the 2nd floor deck and bedroom areas! The house is well equipped and immediately made us feel 'at home'; it is very comfortable and well maintained. Marcia has decorated the home beautifully with much attention to detail which we really appreciated. The upstairs deck has absolutely terrific views of the ocean which we enjoyed every day. The bed was very comfortable; the house was very clean. Marcia was very responsive to all inquiries and property information was timely. We had beautiful weather with 70 degree temperatures each day which made this stay even better!! We would definitely recommend the home to anyone looking to stay directly ocean front. We will definitely be back!!

This little home was absolutely perfect for a vacation to the beach! It's right on the ocean with stunning views from every window. The deck is perfect for enjoying the fresh air and a good cup of hot chocolate or coffee. Sleeping at night being able to hear the ocean was one of the most relaxing experiences of my life. We love staying here and so did our dog!

My husband and I (and our doggies) just got back home today. This was our first time at Barefoot Bliss but we have been going to dog-friendly Dewey Beach for years! We will definitely stay in this condo again. The upper deck is the BEST place to watch the sunrise with a nice hot cup of coffee in hand. Cute, beachy décor and everything you need to enjoy your vacation. There were only 2 of us but it was nice to have the 2nd bathroom downstairs. We also loved being able to go right out to the beach. Great location, responsive owner!

My husband and I, joined by our daughter and son-in-law and their dachshund, had a wonderful stay at Barefoot Bliss. You can't beat the location - in the dunes on the shore of Dewey Beach. The townhome is so comfortable with three outdoor areas to enjoy the ocean views and sounds. The master bedroom, with its beachy decor, was very relaxing. The other bedroom has three twin beds with one serving as a very soft window seat - looking right out at the ocean! Two full bathrooms (which look to be recently renovated) accommodated our needs quite nicely. We would definitely recommend Barefoot Bliss to others and look forward to staying there in the future....perhaps even for our March Madness trip!

My husband and i had rented this lovely oceanfront property twice a year for many years, but moved to New York four years ago and hadn't returned. We decided to return for our 25th wedding anniversary, since the Rehoboth restaurants have always been among our favorites. Since our last visit, the oceanfront townhouse had been renovated to completely open up and add windows to oceanfront-facing areas of the house that had previously had walls. Wow! There is light everywhere! Sitting in the master bedroom while gazing out at the ocean through the huge windows, one almost feels like they are actually on the water, while welcoming friends for cocktails on the second-floor deck reminds me of days long past, when friends would luxuriate by moonlight, while sipping a martini. And don't only consider this property during the summer! The home, the natural surroundings and the first-class restaurants are welcoming year round!

I've stayed at Barefoot Bliss twice: November 2011 and November 2013 (Unfortunately Hurricane Sandy washed away my car and ruined our plans to return in November 2012). Each stay was so wonderful-- it felt like home (but better!). Being there in person is even more scerene and relaxing than the photos can convey. The condo interior itself is so beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings (I love the downstairs bathroom sink and vanity!). But my favorite part certainly the proximity and views of the ocean! I love waking up to the sun rising over the water and beach from the upper level deck (great place for morning coffee!). The sitting area in the sand dunes is a wonderful place to sit and chat with friends and family. It's impossible to imagine a better location--you get all the views and relaxation of a secluded, remote area but, in reality, you are just one block from the best of Dewey Beach restaurants and nightlife! Every time I'm here, I never want to leave. The summertime is great, of course, but the off-season is not to be missed either!

To anyone who is looking for a perfect way to unwind and find a few days of peace and tranquility, this vacation get-a-way has it all... you are literally on the beach, the sunrise fills your morning bedroom with a rainbow of colors painted on the sky only seen in paintings. All the comforts of home and close enough for any type of recreation desired. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone seeking a respite from everyday cares, no season is off limits. We took along our year old Golden Retriever and she absolutely loved the beach... such fun watching all the dogs playing and running in the surf. Great place for dog owners, families and the retired. You will not be disappointed in this find!!

This was my third time at Barefoot Bliss. So tastefully decorated and little signs everywhere that give you permission to relax and have fun. Lovely painted antiques and wonderful paint colors on the walls. Modern washer and drier, and fully equipped kitchen. Wifi. Amazing views from the upstairs deck, and the public beach access is right next "door". Best of all pets are considered with a fee. Owner is sweet and very accommodating. The recent beach restoration is a huge improvement and Dewey remains one of my favorites. You won't be sorry you rented this lovely home. One word for elderly or those with mobility issues. Be prepared to climb rather steep steps to get to the bedrooms. If you can't make the steps, you should be very comfortable using the sofabed an full bath downstairs but you'll miss the view.

My wife, my son, and interestingly enough, our dog, had a really nice stay in this nicely appointed beachside condo. Being able to hear the light roar of the waves as we relaxed on the screened-in pourch was as important to us as the lovely view of the water it offered. We were a minutes walk from several shops and restaurants in Dewey as well as a very short car ride into Rehoboth. The location was great, the condo pleasant and the fact we could bring our dog so our son could enjoy walks on the beach in the morning and evening with him made this a very special vacation. We certainly plan to return and would definately rent this condo again.

We just returned from a one week stay in this unit with our 2 yorkies. The location is great and our dogs especially loved walking on the beach. The owner was very responsive to our needs.

What a delightful property! We didn't utilize all the amenities it has to offer as our intent was quiet relaxation as winter sets in. Though we dined out often, the kitchen serviced our needs and appeared to be well equipped for more involved meals. Barefoot Bliss is well appointed, has an extraordinary location and a responsive, professional, Property Manager.

No doubt, this rental is "a keeper" for us. Imagining how it would be during warm weather months...we hope to stay again, when we can actually go barefoot. Thanks to all, for everything.

We took a long weekend in March and stayed here. It was ideal, even the weather cooperated! Our dog had the time of her life and we will definitely be back! The condo's location was perfect and the interior was cozy and everything we needed was there. Our hosts were attentive and took care of everything we called about.

Property newly renovated and as described, the views are wonderful! It is a second story, and the steps are a bit hard to navigate with luggage, etc., but otherwise no complaints. Owners were great to work with and promptly refunded our security deposit. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stayed here at the end of last summer and had a blast. Beautiful renovation job, was very clean and cozy. Owners were a delight to work with. Just a hop down the steps and you're at the beach. The balcony was screened in and had a nice view of the ocean... perfect to kick your feet up and suck down a boat drink or two... or three:) There's ample dedicated parking, and you can walk to some great spots like Woody's at the end of the road (tasty burgers and really good pit-turkey and pit-beef). The best part is that it's dog friendly, and so is the town. Our dogs had a blast swimming at the beach every evening. Goodbye OC - hello Dewey, for us anyway. Will definitely rent from this owner again.

Wow, my husband and I stayed in Sea Vista for a short 2 days last month and we wished we had more time. We thoroughly enjoyed this condo and the views from the screened porch, living room and kitchen are wonderful. Even though it was March the unseasonably warm weather allowed us to sit each day and enjoy the ocean from the well appointed screened porch. The condo was very clean and very tastefully decorated and kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed to cook some nice meals. We will definetly return. We visited Dewey Beach for the first time and were looking for a decent place close to the beach that would allow us to bring our dog. Found this property and I must say we were pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful property with such nice floors and furniture! It's right on the beach, the ocean view is amazing and everything was spotless. The photos are accurate and the kitchen is fully stocked with coffee maker, ice maker, blender, toaster, etc. If you are looking for a place to stay for a week or longer with your family, this is the perfect place!

Our stay at this property was wonderful! Everything was clean and the condo was well equipped and decorated beautifully. The view from the porch was great with the sound of the ocean very soothing. A quick walk out the door led straight to the path to the beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone.

Our stay at this property last month was awesome. Rich and Marcia have an exquisite taste in the way they decorate and keep their property. Everything is as described. The ocean view is soothing and stunning. From the enclosed veranda you can see the ocean all day long, starting with your morning coffee and later in the evening with your sweater on at this time of the year. We found mid Sept a good time to be at the beach. Fewer people and more relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and pretty. Lovely bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen. Lovely and quiet neighbors. Huge TV, music system and other electrical appliances. We would have liked to stay for months on end. Our pet was so thrilled that he even behaved decently with other dogs at the beach. This was a stress free, endearing experience, thanks to Rich and Marcia knowing how to treat their clients. I would not only recommend it to anyone seeking a quality/relaxing time; I am already saving for next time!

We have stayed here twice, both times with excellent results. This is a clean, well-maintained condo with three nice-sized bedrooms, two baths, a pretty kitchen and dining room, cozy living area, AND a screened porch! Best of all, the living area and screened porch have great ocean views, and the property is just a short walk to the beach. Having recently stayed elsewhere when this property was booked, we'll change our dates to go here again because it's so superior - we highly recommend!

Stayed here recently and just loved it. The views from the porch are just wonderful. We watched many dolphins along the shoreline while having our coffee in the morning. I would definitely come back and hope that it's available for our family vacation next year.

My wife and I have booked this condo twice already and are looking forward to our third visit. Perfectly located in Dewey, you can easily explore the town on foot. Rehoboth isn't too far away if you want a nice long beach walk, but I would recommend driving if the weather isn't cooperating. The unit itself is very well appointed in terms of both furniture and decorations. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all clean and large and main living area is perfect for long relaxing days. The dining table is full sized and the couches are perfect grabbing naps. The deck gets a little wet when it rains, but is the perfect place to enjoy both breakfast and an evening cocktail. We've cooked steaks, soups, and lobster in the kitchen with no issues. Beach views are offered from the living room and kitchen. Accessing the beach literally could not be any easier ... just walk outside. The staircase leading up to the unit might be difficult for someone with mobility issues, but outside of this restriction I would recommend this condo for families, romantic getaways, and everyone else.

Third vacation at this great condo. Perfect unit located beachfront. The views from the porch, comfortable beds, furniture and décor add to the perfect vacation. Rich and Marcia are wonderful to help plan your getaway.

This condo is a great place to stay for many reasons! Marcia and Rich are great landlords - they help immediately when you need them but are not "in your face" and hanging around - making it a very relaxed and pleasant place to stay.

The unit is generously sized - we had 3-4 people staying for a week. Large clean bathrooms and a big living/dining area make it fun to stay in and have seafood that you can cook on the grill that comes with all of the units here. It is a small personal property - so you don't have tons of people in and out all the time. The best is the location - right on the beach - and the screen porch overlooks the sea and the dolphins! There is a wonderful kitchen bar that I used to answer emails and "work" from every morning which overlooks the sea and the beach.

I have rented for many years in Dewey and once or twice when I waited too long and the units were taken - I went with other properties but no-one takes care of their places or manages them as well as Marsha and Rich! We always try to come back to them - All of their units are top notch and fairly priced.

We stayed for a month during the construction of our home late fall. It is furnished in an attractive way that makes you feel like home. Everything we needed was there. Plenty of room inside with comfy beds. The views of the ocean from the living room were tranquil and breath taking. Close to everything. Being able to walk our dogs on the beach was a great way to start the day. Would rent again.

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the views and the weather was GORGEOUS !!! We walked on the beach every day and were able to relax.

We were so lucky to find this perfect jewel in the heart of Dewey Beach. It is squeaky clean and perfectly decorated with elegant and comfortable overstuffed chairs and couches. I mean EVERY seat and chair is comfy and cozy. And of course the mattresses are cushy. The views and sounds of the ocean are everywhere. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this jewel to anyone.

This was the perfect beach condo for our two couples, with an extra bedroom to spare. The photos are very accurate and previous reviews were spot on describing the cleanliness & comfort. We had gorgeous weather during our 3/4 day stay so mornings were spent enjoying coffee on the screened in porch, while evenings sipping our wine and listening to the waves. Steps to the beach, a 1 mile car ride to the wonderful restaurants in Rehoboth (Salt Air was delicious!), easy bike ride through the Breakwater & Gordon Pond Trails, and a day of golf - what more can you ask for!! Only wish we had more time to spend another day at the beach, which we walked daily and had fun swimming in the warm water!! I have already recommended this condo to friends and hope to join them there in Oct. Rich was very easy to work with and we will certainly return next year.

The condo was very comfortable for 4 adults. We were able to prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen. The location is lovely, especially on the off season. It's quiet and convenient and only steps away from the beach. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance if you don't want to cook.

We would book this again without hesitation.

We really enjoyed the easy beach access! Life at the beach was much simplistic when you can just walk back and get a drink, eat and take short breaks when you can just walk minute back to the condo. The condo was just down the street from the center of dewy restaurants and the farmers market. On rainy days going to the outlet is just a 10 minute drive. And above all else the condo was super clean. Loved the porch on cooler days I would highly recommend this place for families!

Overall was great place and location. We had a great week.

Worth another visit!

We have stayed here 2 years in a row. Location is unbeatable. Right on the beach. Property is cleaned and well maintained and the owner is very easy to work with.

We stayed off season, Thanksgiving week to be exact. The weather was beautiful, the locals super friendly and helpful and the beach practicly deserted which is our preference. While the weather was too cold to enjoy the wonderful screened porch, we can see where it would be the best room in the house in warm weather. Every amenetie we needed was there and we could walk to restaurants and the quaint beach town of Rehoboth. A great stay, we highly recommend it!

Rented this condo with my family for Christmas and had an absolutely wonderful time. Everything was as advertised, and we all loved it!

I rented this property for a large family get away (8 adults and 5 children). We were all delighted with our experience, the photos don't begin to convey the exceptional space and layout. The house/duplex is well appointed, tastefully decorated, and VERY comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality dishes, cookware, and utensils. The cooks in the group really enjoyed the kitchen and adjacent sitting area. The first floor living and dining rooms offer ample seating for large groups, (perfect for watching World Cup Soccer). The enclosed porch and secured back yard were a huge hit with the kids and grandparents alike. The second floor bedrooms are configured in such a way that privacy is not an issue. We really appreciated the short walk to the beach and the evening family activities like movies and bonfires. I highly recommend this home and intend to return for another family vacation.

This house was everything we wanted and more.....the close proximity to the beach/bars/restaurants was what we were looking for along with being able to bring our little dog, Bean! A great family getaway everything as described. A beautiful home with an even better ocean block location. The yard for the dogs was also a nice touch for our canine pals. Even better than that was the back screened in porch for morning coffee and breakfast. Two minutes to the beach, five minutes to bay and all restaurants and nightlife in the area all without even needing a car !!!

Our family has stayed at this home for several years. The house is beautifully decorated and well stocked. We have hosted many gatherings for family and friends and the house flow accommodates everyone, even our dog. Great parking too.

We stayed at this house last summer and forgot to leave a review. It is a lovey house. There is a private enclosed back patio with TV, frig,comfy couches and dining table. One of our favorite places after a long day at the beach. The outdoor shower was a bonus. There were a few minor issues which were resolved immediately by Rich and caused us no inconvenience. We had a wonderful week at the beach, which was only steps away. Thank you so much and we hope to see you again this year at another of your houses.

Our family has been renting this house for 3 years now. It is a beautiful and relaxing place to call home for one week. There is plenty of room for our growing bunch. The bedrooms are equipped with comfy beds and are spacious. Having 3 bathrooms is a plus too. There are several spaces for our needs. Having a screened in porch and backyard has been great. Many card games, baseball games and conversations ave taken place here.

We have stayed in this house each year for the past three years. The house is extremely well kept, with nice living spaces, a back yard area and a screened in porch, which makes it easy to find a spot for socializing and relaxing. The bedrooms are fairly spacious - allowing for families with young children to fit a cot or pack and play easily in the space. Every time we have had a (MINOR) issue, the owners have taken care of it immediately. There is easy access to the beach and it is a nice walk into the town of Rehoboth, as well. We will definitely continue to use this as our vacation rental.

We have been coming to Rehoboth/Dewey area for several years. The house is beautiful and comfortably accommodates a large family and several kids. We love the back porch, private yard area, and the short distance to the beach! We look forward to this wonderful week each year and love the house.

This is hands down the best beach home we stayed at. It is clean, nicely furnished and the owners are incredible. We will definitely stay there again.

My extended family and I rented this property twice now. We could not be happier with the rental or the arrangements made with Rich. Everything was perfect. Great rental for a relaxing week at the best beach ever , Dewey . So close to restruants , trolley , and the ocean. Don't hesitate to rent . Many memories just waiting to be made.

This house was perfect for my husband's 40th birthday celebration! Rich was great to work with- very knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved the decor and the open feel to the living spaces. The outdoor area was great to relax at night- there is a screened porch and additional outdoor seating area. The kitchen was stocked with everything. The bathrooms are nothing fancy, but they get the job done. We hired Sheets at the Beach to provide the bed linens, which I would definitely do again! Location is awesome- beach on one side, restaurants and bars on the other...what more could you ask for??

Plenty of space, we loved the back porch screened in. Also seating area outside. About a minute away from the beach, can't beat that!

The location of the house is fantastic, with the beach on one side and bars/restaurants on the other. The house itself is open and spacious and wonderfully decorated. We really enjoyed relaxing in the shaded backyard and the screened porch. Rich, the owner, was responsive and accommodating. We're looking forward to coming back.

Wonderful property within steps to Dewey Beach. Beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable for multi-family stays. Plenty of space to enjoy various family activities. Rare to find outdoor space to enjoy while you cook on the grill.

We came down for a long weekend to bike the Seagull Century and ride thru the park at Lewes. The house was spacious where everyone can be in the same room or spread out in the gorgeous backyard. The screened in porch was very nice and can walk everywhere and not worry about ever moving the car. I would stay here again!

The house is spacious with lots of room to stretch out and enjoy the beach. We live on the porch and relax in the beautiful backyard. Our family looks forward to our week at the beach. We have been staying here for 5 years soon to make it 6. The owners are wonderful to work with. The house is decorated beautifully. It is maintained and each year there is surprise of some new upgrade. Yes we have told friends about this home. It is close to the beach and also to Rehobeth. We walk in, bike etc. We just love it.

The décor and appointments were so inviting and it was such fun exploring each and every nock & cranny! We had so much room and I don't think any of the four families (17 in total) could have asked for much more! Every room was so conducive to relaxation and great camaraderie!!! Our family reunion to Dewey Beach was fantastic! We had plenty of room and the location was great. The walk to the beach with all the kids and gear was easy - and we even saw dolphins one day! The beach and community are so clean and the people are pleasant. The kids were in the pool every day, without fail and absolutely had a blast. We look forward to a return trip next summer. Imagine you had an aunt living on the west coast. A cool aunt. When you went to visit you pulled up to a duet of mid-century, peak-roofed houses. You walk through the gate past a teal blue pool and into the smaller of the two homes.

If you were expecting your aunt to be basic and bland you’re in for a very pleasant surprise. A large screened porch feeds into a corridor with bedrooms and bath. A door on the porch leads to a kitchen, great room and another bedroom. Through this bedroom, out the screened door you scanter across wooden paths leading hither and yon, passing seating areas with tables and chairs, outdoor showers, lush, tropical plantings and at the very end, a koi pond.

The wooden path running in between the two homes makes them connected yet separate. The larger of the two houses also has a screened porch, numerous bedrooms, baths, a great room and an original-to-the-house kitchen. Fans spin overhead but the many screened doors and high ceilings render a/c unnecessary.

When night falls lights pop on around the pool, glow in soft little puddles along the walkways and twinkle in the trees. There are a zillion stars in the sky, a cool breeze, a (heated) pool and the tinkle of ice cubes tumbling into a glass.

First of all, everyone is still reminiscing about the absolutely wonderful time that we all had in Dewey Beach and at your rental. Most everybody couldn't think of thing to make your rental better!!! It was a truly magical trip for us. We really liked the “island feel” you have created and enjoyed our afternoons sipping cocktails on the deck surrounded by tropical landscaping watching the kids play in the pool. As I said before, we had such a wonderful time it is hard to think of anything that could make it better. Your rental was just fabulous. My oldest daughter (10 years) said that “Dewey Beach is better than Disney World”. That says it all! Thanks for sharing this wonderful property with us. We hope to make it back with the whole crew in a few years.

Our family group of 16 recently spent a week at this property. We are still talking about the wonderful time we had and how perfect the setup of the two houses worked for our families. We had three couples in the smaller house and a total of ten people and one dog in the larger house, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The layout of the exterior was my favorite thing about the property - there is extensive decking with larger spaces for gatherings, as well as several quiet areas where someone wanting some alone time can easily find it. Each house has a spacious screened-in porch, which was lovely, especially on the one rainy afternoon we experienced. Having a pool was a wonderful luxury and most of us spent a lot of time enjoying it. The description of the property as having a "Key West vibe" was very true, as the property contains the best of both a tropical-type layout with a traditional beach cottage feel. The proximity to the beach and the Rehoboth boardwalk and shops was a major plus - the beach is literally a two-minute walk away from the house. And the fact that it is dog friendly was a huge plus as well. The description of the properties and the amenities was accurate, the houses were clean, communication with the owners was smooth and clear, and accessing the property on the first day was, as advertised, very easy.

Every visit to this property just gets better and better for our family. All the kids have taken to calling it "Our Beach House" because it feels so much like home. With the two houses, every family has their own space. There is enough room in the large house for the entire group to sit and share a meal together. Plenty of quiet, cozy nooks to hide in and read magazines too. The lovely pool is wonderful and keeps anyone from being bored. The owners are always responsive and keep making clever additions that have made our stays even more comfortable. We loved the extra fridge. Our large family (20 people (ages 2 to 71) and 2 dogs) has reunited here now three times and we were discussing a fourth before we left!! The location of this property just can't be beat. Easy access to the beach as well as Dewey and Rehoboth. We all enjoy exploring the area but spend most of our trip at the property or at the beach catching up with each other. Terrific family vacation.

When I went searching on VRBO for a beach house for a family reunion I knew I was dealing with a "tough crowd." Family members all have their favorite beaches. There were 19 of us from 3 generations, with ages from 15 to 76 and a spoiled 3 year old dog. Well, we hit gold!! From the moment my daughter first walked in and said it reminded her of Key West to the last day when I overheard a niece comment that the place was perfect for our family, I had a good feeling. Other reviewers have covered how accommodating the space is for large groups while still allowing for quiet alone time and how nice the pool is and how convenient the house is to the beach. I noticed how comfortable the air conditioning and fans made the house feel and how good the shower heads worked! The houses are set up so that if some couples wish to go downtown late, they can return to their rooms without disturbing others. Great spaces for TV watching. We ate all our meals at the house because we had such a large group and it worked out perfectly. There is adequate parking for all and the trolley to downtown is at the end of the block although you can walk or bike nearly everywhere. The neighborhood is quiet and very family and dog friendly. The dog loved lying on the porch watching the world go by and walking to the beach in the morning and late afternoon to play with the other dogs. The property managers were very responsive. I feel very lucky that we happened upon this little slice of paradise in Dewey Beach!!!

From the moment we opened the front door to this lovely home we were delighted with the decor and beautiful, comfortable furniture. We loved the backyard and roof deck. The beds were all super comfortable. Marcia and Rich were kind and personable. They did everything to make our stay the BEST week we have ever had at the beach. This is Wendy, Mary's daughter. Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed Sea Star last week. It was the nicest house we have stayed in since we began visiting Dewey/Rehoboth in 2007 and our whole extended family (nine people and a toddler) agreed on that point. There was plenty of room for us to gather inside or out and also have personal space when needed. The proximity to the beach and town was fabulous!

This house was a great space for extended family. Beach Block and all on one floor. Pool was wonderful for kids going from beach to pool all day. I loved having the full size extra fridge in the shed for water, and ice packs and other things we did not need on hand. Back patio was perfect for all of our at home meals. Kitchen was well stocked as was the rest of the house with beach cart, chairs, etc. I also liked having the washing machine in the shed for more room in the house. Great wifi connection. Marcia and Rich were very responsive with any questions via text.

Location was perfect, walking to many restaurants, Fifer Market, Sunrise Diner, Chicken Ed's for Crabs. Near East of Maui for surf lessons. 10 minute bike ride in to Rehoboth and nice ride up to Cape Henlopen Trail.

House is true to photos! This was a great house for my 87-year-old mother. She didn't have to deal with stairs, and the walk to the beach was short and flat (no big dunes).

Also a great house for our 11-month-old grandson. All we had to do baby-proof it was remove a few items from the coffee table in the living room and close the doors to the bedrooms.

Large picnic table in the back yard was great for outdoor dinners.

The neighborhood was very quiet.

There is not much public parking near the beach, so the beach was relatively uncrowded.

It was a wonderful vacation house for our four generations!

this past summer, we stayed here.. and it was ABSOLUATALLY mind blowing. i loved looking at the beach at night and being able to walk everywhere because the location was absolutally perfect. i would recommend to anybody, who is looking for a place to stay in Dewey Beach, to stay here. The house is very nice and honestly is very pretty. i loved my vaction in Dewey Beach, and having a tremendous hous like tis one to stay in just made my vacationing even better. I give this house a ten in every category. Be sure to stay here next time you vist Dewey Beach. You definitally WILL NOT regret it. In fact, you might just fall in love!(:

The house is beautiful. Very comfortable, casual, and clean. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, etc. Great views. Got to watch the sunrise and dolphins swim from the deck in the morning. Walked two blocks to the Lighthouse Cove and watched the sunset in the evening. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Very short drive to Rehobeth (or a long walk on the beach if you're up for it). Would definitely stay again!

This was the first time my family stayed at this oceanfront home and it is nothing less than delightful! Waking up to the sunrise and watching the dolphins play from the front second floor deck was spectacular! There are views of the ocean from every room and the main second floor ia amazing, we lived on that large oceanfront deck. You are literally right in the sand dune! It was a very quite and peaceful vacation - the evenings watching the stars and hearing the waves was spectacular. We had a wonderful time and plan to come again. I rented this home for extended family over a long Christmas weekend. Ages in our group ranged from 9 to 88 and everyone of us had a wonderful time. The upstairs loft was a great place for the kids to retreat while the seniors could enjoy the feeling of the beach from the comforts of the wide open, family-friendly living area with great views all around. The rest of us took advantage of closeness to the beach and to downtown Rehoboth, taking plenty of long strolls on the sand, star gazing at night, and fun shopping/dining. Wonderful vacation and owners who are a delight to deal with. Highly recommend!

Renting a beach house has become my Christmas gift to my children and their families so I have been looking for the perfect house and area. I need look no more! What an absolutely wonderful house and environment I found at #2 Read Street Dewey Beach, Delaware! Not sure I will ever look south again!

The house is just FUN and easy to be in. The area it is in is comfortable and felt safe. When we ventured out it was on foot and not far. We were ALL - even the shoppers - pretty content to just be at the house, the pool or the beach even knowing there were outlets not far! The little grocery store on the corner is wonderful and so is the staff!!!!

We met folks that have been coming back to this area for years and that just speaks volumes to newcomers. After our week we understand why. The owners have truly created a home away from home - a place that really makes you feel welcome and at home the moment you open the door. The surrounding resort and neighborhood certainly supports that feeling!

Linens, especially the towels, were great and we had plenty.

Kitchen was awesome and lacked for nothing! The fridge was wonderful and there was plenty of free cabinet space. No complaints about the beds.

My personal thanks to Cindy and her family for choosing to share such a great place with others. My son sent me a picture from the deck of the beach and flag flying which is now the wallpaper on my phone so I will be reminded of how very blessed I am to have had this week in their house with my children and grandchildren. It is obviously a house and area that is well-loved and we are excited to now be part of your "rental" family!

Perfect location, close to everything. Only TV had lost signal twice, not that you go to the beach to watch TV....but frustrating at the time. Upstairs back bedrooms did get hotter at night, ceiling fans would work well in the those. Overall, very pleased and would definitely return. Thank you!!!

The beach house is very nicely decorated. Beautiful kitchen with everything you need. Pantry in kitchen was perfect for all our dry goods. Powder room on first floor very handy especially with little ones. Nice size living room with large TV. The 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter were perfect for the 3 granddaughters and the rest of us could eat at the dining room table. Nice deck outback with plenty of furniture. Master bedroom is very nice, but maybe a TV in the future would be perfect for grandparents!Master bathroom is great and so nice to have a private bathroom if you have multiple generations like we did. Other two bedrooms and hallway bathroom were fine.Outdoor shower great and used by grandchildren every day! Short and easy walk to the beach and one of the nicest areas in Dewey! You can even catch the Jolly Trolley at the end of the street. Would recommend this beach house and would rent it again. Owners were very easy to deal with and even contacted me about a bad storm!

We loved the accommodations how it was decorated and all the light it let in especially the skylight in the bathroom which let us see the full moon and the stars. We would definitely come back here again and again.

We would definitely recommend this property to others! photographs and listings were very accurate and, as noted in other reviews, the property is very well maintained and clean. The beach is a minute or so walk but the views are still gorgeous and the back deck is very nice for relaxing - our kids loved the huge sand "backyard" and had a lot of fun playing in it! Being between Rehobeth and the heart of Dewey was nice and quiet but still convenient. We loved it!

My husband and I had a fabulous two day getaway in Delaware. I love the entire area of Dewey, Rehobeth and Lewes! House was lovely, warm and cozy. We will definitely return !

This property is just lovely and in such a quiet, but convenient location. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, relaxing, clean and with a nicely appointed kitchen (my husband likes to cook). We especially loved waking up to seeing the sunrise over the ocean and walking the beach and the boardwalk on our way to breakfast in Rehoboth.

This is just the perfect beach rental. It is gorgeously decorated but fun and unique, too. You basically have your own private beach right outside your door and the ocean is steps away.
